# Assign Infra Owners

### Introduction

To streamline accountability and ensure compliance tasks are addressed promptly, Sprinto allows you to assign an **Infra Owner** for each integrated infrastructure system. The assigned owner receives notifications for failing checks, upcoming deadlines, and task escalations.

This feature is available on **Professional and higher subscription plans**.

### Who is an Infra Owner?

An Infra Owner is a Sprinto user (staff member) with the `Infra Operations Person` security role. They are responsible for:

* Addressing compliance checks and tasks assigned to the infrastructure system.
* Receiving automated email notifications for failing or due checks.
* Acting as the point of contact during escalations.

### Steps to Assign or Change an Infra Owner

1. Go to **Data Library → Infrastructure**.
2. In the **Infra systems** tab, select the infrastructure system you want to manage.
3. Click **Configure** on the system card to open the drawer.
4. Locate the **Infra Owner** section and click **Change**.
5. From the dropdown, select the staff member you want to assign.
   * Only staff members with admin access will be visible.
   * If the user is missing, ensure they’ve been added to Sprinto and granted appropriate privileges.
6. Click **Save** to apply changes.

The newly assigned Infra Owner receives an email notification and starts receiving all future task alerts for the system.

### Notes

* You can update the owner at any time using the same steps.
* Custom escalation paths are supported on **Professional** plans and above.
* Ownership changes do not affect classification or check configurations.
